Pierce Brosnan born as Pierce Brendan Brosnan on May 16th, 1953 in Castletown, Co. Meath in Ireland is a wonderful Irish actor who won multiple awards for his stunning performances in movies. Pierce Brosnan was also awarded an honorary OBE for his 'outstanding contribution to the British film industry' by Queen Elizabeth II in 2003.
Pierce Brosnan was born to carpenter Thomas and May nee Smith. Brosnan went to live with his maternal grandparents while his mother moved to London to work as a nurse after his father left the family for good. At the age of eleven, Pierce Brosnan left for London to be with his mother and her new husband William Carmichael, a World War II veteran. Brosnan studied at Elliott School in Putney, West London. He also had a brief training in commercial illustration at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. Brosnan later graduated in acting from the Drama Centre in London in 1975. He then began working as assistant stage manager with the York Theater Royal. His acting talents got quickly recognized as playwright Tennessee Williams offered him to play McCabe in The Red Devil Battery Sign.
In 1979 Pierce Brosnan made his acting debut with "Resting Rough" in 1979 and has since appeared in several films and made-for-television-movies. Pierce Brosnan rose to fame with his recurring role in a romantic detective series "Remington Steele" [94 episodes: 1982-1987]. Pierce Brosnan shot to international fame with his portrayal of James Bond in "GoldenEye"  which became the fourth highest grossing film in the world in 1995. He won Saturn Award for his second James Bond movie "Tomorrow Never Dies"  as Best Actor. He acted in two more James Bond films "The World Is Not Enough"  and "Die Another Day" . Pierce Brosnan also played a key role in James Bond video game series.
